This vase features a repeating arrangement of framed insects set against vivid lime green and black patterned panels. Beetles, moths and other specimens appear as if displayed within decorative cartouches, recalling the presentation of natural curiosities in nineteenth century entomology collections. The design combines ornamental pattern with the visual language of scientific display, where insects were carefully mounted, catalogued and studied during the rise of natural history museums and private cabinets of curiosity. A harlequin diamond pattern wraps around the neck of the vessel, adding a playful theatrical contrast to the more formal specimen frames below. Organic shapes resembling cracked stone or cellular structures surround the insects, suggesting magnified surfaces or microscopic textures. The result balances scientific observation with decorative exuberance, turning the vase into a kind of imagined cabinet where pattern, curiosity and classification meet.
